JMAC Education
Simplifying medicine
ABOUT JMAC Education
-
My main approach is to ensure that I am meeting the needs of the learners in front of me. I never recreate the same teaching session twice as it is always tailored to the people in front of me on the day.
-
I have worked in the NHS for 25 years, 14 years as a consultant in Emergency Medicine. I have worked with many health professionals in many different clinical and non-clinical situations.
After time spent as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University, Specialty Tutor overseeing all doctors in training in the Emergency Department, Director of Simulation and clinical skills for Northumbria Healthcare Trust, backed with a Diploma in Clinical Education I have a wealth of experience in educating all groups of people within healthcare many different aspects of the complex world of medicine.
My areas of specific interest and expertise are in resuscitation; basic life support; management and leadership of an emergency department; decision making; effective presentation skills.
-
For any education to be meaningful and memorable it must be fun and have an emotional and personal connection with the learner.
